Biography

Liu Chunming is a Chief Physician, Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Chinese People's Liberation Army General Hospital. He graduated from the Graduate School of Peking Union Medical College. He completed master's training in maxillofacial surgery at the PLA Postgraduate Medical School, doctoral training in plastic surgery at the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College, and professional training in plastic surgery at Oita Medical University in Japan and the University of Pennsylvania in the United States. He co-authored and published Repair of Cleft Lip and Palate with Professor Song Ruyao. In the past 5 years, he has published more than 10 papers on the plastic repair and reconstruction of congenital deformities of the cranio-orbito-zygomaticomaxillofacial skeleton.

He specializes in the diagnosis and repair of congenital deformities, trauma, and defects of the cranio-orbito-zygomaticomaxillofacial skeleton; aesthetic plastic surgery of the zygoma, maxilla and mandible, and nasal bones; cleft lip and palate repair and sequential treatment; aesthetic plastic surgery for facial aging; and the diagnosis, surgical resection, and plastic reconstruction of craniomaxillofacial tumors.
